It is made with fresh (preferably organic) vegetables and nutritious maca poweder. Some of you may not have heard of maca before, well it’s a radish-like root. This radish-like root has been used for centuries in South American cultures to promote healing. Dating back to the Incan times, it was used to increase stamina and energy in warriors before battle. To this day, the purest and most nutritious maca still comes from the Peruvian highlands. It is a revered superfood that can easily be added to your diet. Spicy Maca Soup Recipe:
2 Tbps. Maca Powder
1 ½ Cups Fresh tomato juice
½ Fresh cucumber, thinly sliced
1 to 2 stalks celery, chopped
1 yellow pepper, diced
1 tsp. Cayenne pepper
Dash of Salt
Pepper, to taste
Blend all the ingredients (except pepper) until smooth. Stir in the pepper and enjoy.
For a little added something, feel free to put in a carrot, ½ a chili pepper, or even a sprinkle of chili powder to give your soup an extra kick. If you’d prefer a hot soup, warm the ingredients over medium heat on the stove, stirring constantly.
