Welcome to the First Installment of the Organic Superfood Recipe Series!
In this series we will cover a lot of great ways to start incorporating superfoods into your diet with quick, easy and good tasting recipes. Lets face it, if it doesn’t taste good, were not eating it.
Today we are going to start with something that I made for the first time not too long ago as my girlfriend loves toast and jam. It’s called Acai Berry Jam, but it also contains Chia seeds which are another powerful superfood.
Acai Berry Jam-
Mix Organic Chia seeds with apple juice and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. The chia seeds will combine with the apple juice to form a gel.
Mix in the rest of the ingredients and allow to sit for 30 minutes before use for best results.
There it is, simple and easy. This jam is extremely delicious and nutrient dense. Much better than those sugar rich, nutrient deprived jams you find on store shelves.
